Well here we are back in Brampton!   I lived here from 1979 to 2003 then moved to Wasaga Beach for 9 years and now we are back-living in a condo apartment on the 11th floor overlooking the City of Brampton.

I am somewhat surprised by the number of people who asked me if I was crazy to make this move back to Brampton....maybe?....but nonetheless it is what we decided to do for ourselves....sometimes life decides for you where you should be.  When I left my kids were single, I was a little lost about my work...trying to be good at being a mortgage broker, lived in a condo (isn't that interesting!).  We decided a fresh start was needed and off we went to Wasaga Beach,  Brampton north they called it...lots of real estate work there...the fastest growing community in Ontario!!

Life in Wasaga Beach was very different for me...I had grown up in Toronto then lived in idea about small towns......I learned!!!   If you say anything to anyone be prepared that the whole town will know about it shortly....the communication network works very well!!  We used to laugh that even a new idea spoken out loud there would be used by someone else before you knew it so go out of town to discuss plans and innovations!  Sounds silly but if often happened so maybe there was truth to it.

I wanted to get to know people and so I volunteered to join the Lioness club and the local public library...both very good moves...I met some wonderful people and made some great friends.  I still worked at mortgages and settled in to work as assistant in real you get the theme I not back where I started?

Well to a degree....but a lot wiser, some older, my kids have kids so now I am a grandmother, I don't volunteer at the moment but who knows...I have already had the offer...Grace United Church accepts blankets and more and we had extras when we downsized so I took them over to the lot of good work gets done there and yes they certainly could use another volunteer.....
